Sun blinds and awnings have become an integral part of the Australian lifestyle. They can be a stylish addition to your home or business, providing protection by reducing heat gain or loss, reducing glare and exposure to harmful UV rays and reduction in energy consumption.
Blinds in Mind offer a wide range of external or outdoor sun blinds and awnings. Our more traditional type of sun blinds come in a wide range of blockout fabrics such as Dickson Orchestra, Docril, acrylic and canvas, as well as screen/mesh transparent fabrics such as Outlook, Mode or Vistaweave.
Manually operated on galvanised or stainless steel guide rods, the automatic sun blind can be stopped at any position on the window which allows the window to be opened whilst the blind is down providing airflow and ventilation. These blinds come standard with a Colorbond pelmet.
Similar to ASBs, fixed guide blinds can also be motorised, ideal for first floor installations. These blinds come standard with a Colorbond pelmet.
Our range of external straight drop / vertical awnings provide a modern, architectural, sleek look to your home whilst offering a very effective solution to reducing the internal room temperature by blocking the solar rays before they reach your window. These vertical systems have a narrow gap between the glass and fabric providing increased energy efficiency. They can be operated manually with a gear box and crank handle, or fully automatic motorised operation. Sun and wind sensors can also be installed.
With a modern slim-line look, the Vertiscreen from Global Awnings Accessories has a compact profile that includes either a 95mm x 95mm powdercoated full cassette aluminium headbox, or a 125mm x 125mm aluminium full cassette headbox for larger blinds which protects the fabric when enclosed. The Vertiscreen has a designer bottom rail and powder coated side channels or stainless steel guire wires. Vertiscreens can be installed inside a recess or on the façade, or can be installed inside a reveal to totally hide the components from view.
Vertiscreens come in a wide range of fabrics including blockout fabrics such as Dickson Orchestra and Docril Acrylics as well as screen/mesh fabrics such as Outlook, Mode or Vistaweave.
These blinds feature a gear box and are operated via a crank handle to wind the blind up and down. Great for patios, verandas or as alfresco blinds in blockout or mesh fabrics as well as clear PVC. They can also be fitted with stainless steel guide wires. These blinds can come with a Colorbond pelmet.
